The Setting

The Valley of Sóller

Tucked behind the Tramuntana mountains on Mallorca’s northwest coast, the valley of Sóller has been growing oranges, lemons, and olives for centuries. The Serra de Tramuntana — a UNESCO World Heritage landscape — shelters the valley from the rest of the island, creating a microclimate where citrus thrives and the air smells of orange blossom and rosemary.

Port de Sóller sits at the mouth of this valley, where the mountains meet a perfectly curved natural harbour. Fishing boats line the waterfront. The old wooden tram rattles between the port and the town of Sóller. It is, by any measure, one of the most beautiful corners of the Mediterranean.

Our Location

Campo sits along the Camino del Campo de la Mar, a quiet road that runs from the port toward the open fields beyond. We are steps from the harbour but set apart from the tourist promenade — a place you come to on purpose, not by accident.

The Tramuntana mountains rise up behind us as fishing boats bob in the harbour ahead, and the scent of whatever we are cooking drifting across the terrace.
