Our Story

The Chef

Grace Berrow is a chef who cooks with the land. Her path to the kitchen wound through some of London’s most respected restaurants, through the open fires and markets of South America, and finally to Mallorca — where the Tramuntana mountains meet the sea and the valley of Sóller produces some of the finest citrus, olive oil, and vegetables in the Mediterranean.

At Campo, Grace doesn’t write a menu and then go shopping. She walks the field first. She checks what’s ready. She talks to the fishermen at the port. Then she cooks. The result is food that tastes like exactly where it comes from — honest, seasonal, and unmistakably Sóller.

The Campo

Campo means “countryside” in Spanish, and ours is not a metaphor. At Grace and Nazas home in Soller they have spent these last months cultivating the land beside their house to make a restaurant garden. Churning the soil, composting, and planting — building a garden that feeds the restaurant directly.

This is the heart of what makes Campo different. The distance from soil to plate is measured in steps, not miles. When you eat here, you taste what this specific piece of Mallorca is producing right now.

The Team

Campo is a partnership between Grace and Nazareno Roggerone Taboada, who brings deep roots in hospitality and an Uruguayan warmth that defines the front-of-house experience. Together they’ve built Campo from the ground up — literally — from negotiating the lease to turning the soil in the campo to hand-testing every recipe.

Campo Soller S.L. is supported by a small group of investors who believe in what this restaurant represents: real food, grown here, cooked with care, served in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

The Philosophy

We keep it simple:

Seasonal. The menu changes because the land changes. What’s ready is what we serve.

Local. The valley of Sóller produces extraordinary ingredients. We don’t need to import what’s already perfect at our doorstep.

Honest. No pretension, no theatre. Just well-made food served in a beautiful setting with people who care.

Joyful. A long lunch in the Mallorcan sun is one of life’s great pleasures. We want every visit to feel like that.
